WCC Membership Information

For the curious to the serious – the WCC membership process

Curious

Wolf Creek Commons welcomes your inquiries.  We strongly suggest that you come and meet us at one of our social events. They provide a wonderful opportunity for curious people to simply meet group members and have a good time. Once you have attended one of our social events, you could take a tour of our site with one of our members. There is also a one-hour Orientation for anyone who would like to know more about Wolf Creek Commons intergenerational cohousing.  The orientation provides an overview of the project and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.  Please contact us, if you would like to get an orientation and/or site visit, and we can set up a convenient time for you.  Social events and our meeting dates are on the Calendar of Events

Serious

Becoming a WCC member is a very personal decision.  It is a self-selecting process.  We allow people however much time they need along with opportunities to explore the idea and get to know current members of the group in order to decide whether or not cohousing is right for them at this time in their lives.  In general, it seems that people who sign on for the cohousing adventure are willing and able to flow with changing tides, trust their collaborators, and bring their personal best to the process.

The steps to Full Membership in Wolf Creek Commons are detailed in the document below called Steps to becoming a Member of Wolf Creek Commons.

The first step is to satisfy your curiosity!  Call us and we can answer whatever questions you have.

Once you have met us, seen the site and attended a General meeting, the next step to Full Membership will be to attend an Orientation Workshop with CoHousing Partners.  Tuition for this workshop is $95 per household and participants receive a binder containing information covered in the workshop. The CoHousing Partners Orientation Workshop details the financial and legal aspects of the project and is different from the free WCC Orientation mentioned above.  The CoHousing Partners workshop is the perfect forum for asking and answering questions about the nuts and bolts of how this whole thing comes together.  It’s really quite interesting and fun.
